The “Cosmo” is the favourite cocktail of the four Sex and the City friends. Every time they go for a night out in the Big Apple’s most trendy bars they step into their Manolos and their finest clothes and enjoy a friendly Cosmo.
If you’re a fan of the show, and even if you are not, when in New York, don’t forget to try a Cosmopolitan cocktail in one of the city’s most luxurious bars. These cocktail lounges scream of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha’s best moments on TV.
Not so lucky as to be able to travel to NYC? No problem. Take good note of this recipe from the International Bartenders Association and impress your friends with the best Cosmo they have ever tried.
– 4 cl of Vodka Lemon
– 5 cl of Cointreau
– 5 cl of fresh lime juice
– 3 cl of cranberry juice
After you have found and measured all your ingredients, you must shake them all together in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Use a strainer to poor the contents into a cocktail glass and add a lime slice on the side for decoration.
PS: Some recipes also say to moisten the rim of the glass with lime and later add sugar. Try it out!
