Four generations are behind the quality of Estrella Galicia.
The beer that brings greta pride to a region in northern Spain.
If we were to ask regulars from our neighborhood bar the first thing that comes to mind when they hear 1906, some may probably recall Henrik Ibsen’s death, others the birth of the great Billy Wilder or the Nobel Prize granted to Santiago Ramón y Cajal. But for better or for worse, we believe the most common answer would point to Estrella Galicia and its Reserva Especial 1906. Its name pays homage to the year when José María Corral Rivera, after returning from a trip to Mexico, established La Estrella de Galicia, a company devoted to the manufacturing of beer and ice. More than a century later, not only has the company diversified (waters, ciders and wines—all a basic part of the Hijos de Rivera portfolio) and expanded globally (present in more than 20 countries), but it has also managed to keep its essence of a family-owned business and stay true to its roots in a land that has seen it grow up… and that has grown along with it.
