Zara has now wanted to pay tribute to Portuguese culture with a high-end patisserie where you can savour the iconic pasteis de nata with a coffee from the emblematic Praça Dom Pedro IV.
The brand continues to design experiences that extend the simple act of buying and selling of the employee-customer with this conceptual and experiential shop installed in the heart of the city. A vision or strategy with which to elevate its collections and favour a differential contact of the consumer with the product through technology and innovation.
This new space, which evokes the aesthetics and essence of a classic patisserie with a contemporary twist, is the result of a collaboration with cult patisserie Castro Atelier. There, at Zara by Castro, customers will be able to enjoy speciality coffees and other sweet treats amidst ‘a unique, contemporary atmosphere full of history and memories’.
Zara by Castro materialises as a café and patisserie designed under the vision of the Portuguese artisan tradition of Elsa Urquijo Arquitectos, where you can taste its cream cakes served on designer crockery. All this together with Portuguese coffees or some classics such as Cappuccino or Matcha Latte.
