If you had to make a ranking of the most traditional tapas of Spanish gastronomy, probably torreznos would be in the Top 3 of almost all the pools. The torreznos de Soria are one of the gastronomic jewels of Soria and, to share it with the world, the Marca de GarantΓa Torrezno de Soria organizes a contest to choose the best torreznos from different parts of Spain. A few days ago it was held in the capital and a traditional bar in Getafe won the winning torrezno.
It is El Quillo, located at Dolores Ibarruri 1 in Getafe, which specializes in cachopos and torreznos, almost nothing. According to the jury of the contest, its torrezno proposal is “crunchy, tasty and fat-free”, which has made it a worthy winner in Madrid. A portion of torreznos at this place costs 12.90 β¬. In addition, they serve gourmet cachopos that cause a sensation in the area.
Its next goal is to become the Best Torrezno of the World, whose winner will be revealed on March 10, during the final to be held in El Burgo de Osma (Soria). There, in addition to El Quillo’s torreznos, the other finalists from regions such as Soria, El Burgo de Osma, Valencia, Aranda de Duero, Villar del RΓo, Guijosa, Γlvega and Zaragoza will be able to taste them. Who will take over from Antonio’s restaurant, last year’s winner?
