Seville has a special colour and this week more than ever. The Feria de Abril dresses the city in fiesta, colour and atmosphere, not only at the fairgrounds but throughout the Andalusian capital. So if this year you are enjoying the “casetas”, the lights and the costumes, and you also want to enjoy a gastronomic tribute without the hustle and bustle of the fair, we leave you some of the best restaurants in Seville to enjoy an excellent meal and recharge your batteries to continue the party until next Saturday 29 April. Take note!
Basque
It is our hotspot in Seville. Eneko Atxa’s stamp is always synonymous with success and good quality. In this restaurant, his innovative gastronomy with flavours from the Basque Country combines with Andalusian tradition to create an authentic proposal. The flavour of homemade dishes and grandmother’s stews are present in all his dishes, and the produce he uses is truly exceptional. In their tasting menus you can try delicacies such as foie and citronella curd, homemade egg yolk on wheat stew, or smoked prey with mashed potatoes and truffle.

Cañabota
If you have already tried the traditional ‘pescaíto frito’, now you can opt for a restaurant like this one. Cañabota is sea and embers. A concept of high gastronomic level in which the absolute axis is the good fish and seafood of first quality that roast, fry and stew with joy and good work. It has two different areas: a more informal bar, where you can enjoy small portions and tapas, accompanied by a good vermouth or sherry wine; and an elegant lounge where the best option is to dive into any of the tasting menus.

The most authentic flavour of Seville is in this restaurant. They define themselves as an ideal gastronomic enclave to enjoy the South without losing the North, the flavour of the Sea and the meat from its fields. To visit with friends or family in the most festive atmosphere of these days, and try both their tapas to taste at the bar, as well as dishes and hearty portions for a more relaxed evening in order to endure the party at the Feria. There is no shortage of fried food, stews, fish and meat, accompanied by a good wine.

La Barra de Inchausti
The whole Inchausti family. The three brothers, worthy sons of their much-missed father, always in our memory, have for decades maintained an excellent level of personal attention and Sanlúcar-Gadiz cuisine of stews – ask for their galley soup – and fried Atlantic fish, to which they add a first-class seafood product in the centre of the city, a stone’s throw from the cathedral. Its bar allows tapas and snacks also at high tables. Always served with friendliness in a bustling atmosphere as it is deservedly a popular place with a great acceptance by the locals.

This historic restaurant is located in the heart of the Triana neighbourhood and has become an institution. Az-Zait
Located in San Lorenzo, this restaurant has become a culinary reference in Seville in recent years. Its name comes from Arabic and means ‘olive juice’ (oil). It owes its name to an Arabic word meaning “olive juice” (oil) and shows a constant progression, as here they apply technique and conviction in all their preparations. They offer traditional and international cuisine, but always with modern touches. They also serve three tasting menus, whose names refer to their estates, all of which are, of course, full of olive trees: Hacienda el Monje, El Lavadero and Cerro de los Olivos.

If you are looking for good tapas in Seville, this is the place to enjoy them and extend them. They follow a traditional concept of cuisine based on small dishes, well adapted to the present. They serve simple dishes, such as croquettes, and other more complex ones, such as egg on boletus sponge cake. It has an attractive set menu.
