400 mg is the recommended maximum of caffeine per day
According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the maximum daily amount of caffeine a person should consume is 400 mg before side effects occur. If we look at Pascal’s order, that coffee alone is already too much, although if he didn’t drink any more that day, it wasn’t alarming either.
