In a new Instagram Reel promoting her new fragrance ‘Victoria Beckham Beauty Suite 302’, the former Spice decides to share with her virtual community an anecdote about a special date night she had with David Beckham. And she does it by going back in time from the Parisian restaurant she used to frequent with the ex-footballer. ‘It really transports me back in time,’ she said of the candlelit venue. ‘There’s something so glamorous about Paris: it feels so opulent…so sexy.’
The evening then harkens back to Paris in the 1990s in that same space. ‘I remember when we came here in the ’90s. I remember we ordered a very special bottle of wine. Back then we had trouble finishing a bottle of wine both of us,’ he continues, adding sarcastically, ‘We don’t seem to have a problem with that now.’
Victoria then recalls how everything seemed ‘so over the top,’ noting that the ‘strong smell of tobacco’ in Suite 302 feels very Parisian. ‘The heavy drapes, the velvet sofas, the color palettes, the little tassels on the chairs. I love the way we’ve bottled up all those elements and put them together to create Suite 302,’ he details.
‘I love coming back here, it’s definitely our happy place. I love the people, I love the energy and, of course, I love the wine,’ he continues of the Parisian venue. ‘Who doesn’t?’ she continues.
The ageless it girl then adds that the person she imagines enjoying the fragrance is very elegant and elevated. ‘I really wanted to capture both how I was feeling in this moment, and how David was feeling as well. It’s about the two of us. It’s about our special time in Paris in the ’90s. It’s Suite 302.’
