This new collaboration dilutes gastronomy and art in a new exotic ice cream with Passion Fruit Berry Pop flavor to inaugurate the summer, and pay homage to the iconic work of artist Keith Haring.
In a combination of purple, yellow and red tones, this handmade blue raspberry and passion fruit ice cream with strawberry jam is displayed in a container with the representative illustrations of Haring’s “dancing men”. A work inspired by the artist and the pop spirit and street culture of New York in the 1980s.
“We’re big fans of Keith Haring and this is the first flavor we’ve created inspired by the art,” Ben Van Leeuwen, CEO and co-founder of Van Leeuwen, said of the creative union. “It was great to design an ice cream flavor around Haring’s artwork and imagine what it would look and taste like.”

Van Leeuwen will launch this exclusive new flavor on June 1 in order to honor Pride Month, along with limited edition products that will be available through Monday, August 31 both online and in Van Leeuwen’s physical stores.
In addition, a large portion of the proceeds from the ice cream sales will be donated to The Center, a resource center for New York’s LGBTQ+ community, residents and visitors, which offers health, wellness and community connection programs.
