The Hollands’ holiday soirees are always going to have hearty and delicious food, as her brother is a professional chef. ‘My brother Sam is a chef and he’s fantastic,’ she says. ‘He’s been a chef for about five years working professionally, and every year Christmas dinner gets better and better and better.’
In the episode of the Dish food podcast, in which he has a relaxed conversation with the interviewers over one of his signature beers, Tom not only talks about the dishes and plans for the season, he also brings up one of Zendaya’s signature recipes, which he says he loves: pasta over vodka.
This Christmas, her brother Sam will be preparing slow-roasted pork as a main course. But what Holland is really passionate about is desserts, and one particular sweet that her grandmother Tess makes: ‘She’s Irish and what she makes the most is an apple rhubarb crumble, which I love,’ she shares. ‘I love the tartness of the rhubarb, I think it’s so good.’ In addition to culinary traditions, Holland’s family will share time playing cards, and doing other types of playful activities.
