Real Madrid already has a new signing. And he is not a superstar from the world of football. It is a restaurant that the white team has announced that it is going to open in Mexico, specifically in Mexico City. It will be called ‘UNO by Real Madrid‘, as announced by the team in a statement.
The restaurant will follow the ‘fast casual‘ style, halfway between typical fast food and a more traditional one, with more careful ingredients and more elaborate recipes. They announced that the menu will include hamburgers and shakes, with “quality product” as a fundamental value of this new business.
The club chaired by Florentino Pérez has opted for the slogan “Hungry for more “, which refers to gastronomy, but also to the sporting spirit that moves the club. In addition to food, you can also purchase official Real Madrid products, such as their t-shirts.
To embark on this business, the Madrid club has joined forces with the San Pablo group, chaired by Félix Sancho, to invest in this industry. It is not Sancho’s only relationship with sport, since he is the main sponsor of the San Pablo Burgos basketball team.
On the horizon is increasing income to face the economic growth of clubs fueled by petrodollars: such as PSG, Newcastle, or Manchester City.
