Emma‘s grandmother Sheila, @eczemma on Tiktok, has brought back, and even viralized on the entertainment platform the ‘Jello Salad’: a lime jello salad from the 60s. A dessert that just the same, could have stayed in that era.

During a family soiree, Emma showed her grandmother’s lime Jello Salad recipe and asked her to explain exactly what it consisted of. Well, it has just about everything in it.

Although you probably don’t want to carry it out or reinterpret the trend, the recipe is as follows: gelatin is the base of this creation or concoction that enters a dark terrain from the moment you add two tablespoons of mayonnaise and apple cider vinegar.

After mixing, a mysterious amount of water is poured in that will yield a cup and a half of liquid. ‘Once it’s slightly gelled, you pour in a tub of cottage cheese,’ the grandmother continues.

But it doesn’t end there, why not add a carrot, and then include crushed pineapple and chopped celery? A combination that ends with black olives, which the grandmother says must be included. You’re going to love it’, says Emma’s grandmother, who later publishes a new post in which she tries it, showing that it is not the best dessert or food in the world.
