Although not even 10 years have passed since its release, Chef is probably one of the most memorable gastro titles of recent times. Starring and directed by Jon Favreau, the cast also included stars such as Scarlett Johansson and Sofia Vergara. The story focuses on the change a chef makes from working in a famous restaurant to opening his own food truck and succeeding with his Cuban food proposal. Now Jon Favreau wanted to bring this project to real life by partnering with American chef Roy Choi. The new venture, called The Chef Truck, is located at Park MGM in Las Vegas, a complex that consists of a hotel, casino and a wide range of gastronomic offerings.

Obviously, in this new food stand, there is no shortage of the most emblematic dish of the movie: the irresistible Cubano sandwich, with grilled cheese. But you can also taste the chocolate and lava cake, and other new Favreau and Choi creations, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and even vegetarian options.

Roy Choi was one of the leading exponents of the food truck movement, when in 2008 he began touring the streets of Los Angeles with his Kogi Korean BBQ truck (a proposal that fused Mexican and Korean food). Thanks to the networks it went viral and ended up reaping unprecedented success. Choi and Favreau worked together during the filming of the movie in 2014, but they have also continued to do so with the Netflix series The Chef Show, to which this new food truck is now added.
