With the arrival of summer, new summer gastronomic proposals also arrive in many restaurants, such as the iconic Casa Felisa in Madrid. On this occasion, the restaurant located in Alonso Martínez has a new menu featuring the freshest flavors of the season. Chef Antonio del Álamo starts from a fine neo-classical concept to give a modern touch to the traditional recipes of Madrid.
To kill hunger, as they emphasize in their menu, the chef proposes recipes with seasonal products such as warm salad of snow peas, green asparagus and roasted young leeks or sautéed green beans, with national prawns, potato toast and trotters. Of course, there is no lack of Casa Felisa classics such as cod fritters with black garlic mayonnaise, Russian salad with shrimp omelette and the new version of the emblematic open omelette, this time with cocochas al pilpil.
In the main course section, seafood recipes such as wild sole meunière or grilled wild turbot loin with shallots and spring onions stand out. Meanwhile, in the “mountain” section, an exquisite 1 kg T-Bone is presented for the first time, which joins emblematic options such as the matured beef sirloin steak tartar with bacon and french fries. The final touch is completed with sweet desserts such as homemade raspberry cream millefeuille, warm homemade brioche bread torrija with vanilla ice cream or warm cheesecake.
Tuna: special proposal off the menu
The new summer menu is not the only proposal of Casa Felisa for the summer season. In addition, honoring seasonal products and respect for a quality raw material, will be offering exclusive elaborations outside the menu with bluefin tuna as the protagonist. Thus, until July 24, diners can enjoy four unique recipes: bluefin tuna tartar with wasabi and soy; bluefin tuna marmitako; bluefin tuna belly with roasted tomato and grilled beet; and grilled bluefin tuna taco with sautéed vegetables and creamy carrot.
The summer experience at Casa Felisa will be completed with its liquid menu, which includes craft beers and wines from Madrid, in addition to more than 140 national and international references. Not forgetting another Madrilenian custom, the aperitif. Here you can continue tasting a wide variety of vermouths and cocktails inspired by the great classics of the capital.
