Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been in the news for a few weeks about a possible marital crisis. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quashed the rumors last Friday by going to dinner to celebrate Meghan’s 42nd birthday. They did so at Tre Lune restaurant, located in Montecido, in Santa Barbara (California), according to The Daily Mail. This Italian restaurant is a regular stop for many celebrities, such as Kevin Costner or Kourtney Kardashian. However, the couple has another favorite Italian hotspot in this area. It is the Bettina pizzeria, Harry and Meghan’s favorite pizzeria.
This Southern California joint specializes in wood-fired, naturally leavened pizzas and also serves simple dishes influenced by the owner’s travels to Italy. Bettina is one of the area’s favorite pizzerias, and it’s not uncommon for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to order there, People magazine reported.
Here they serve Neapolitan-style pizzas with naturally fermented sourdough, but also other typical dishes such as pasta or antipasti. One of Meghan and Harry’s favorite recipes is the mafaldine cacio e pepe with pecorino and ground pepper, which costs 24 dollars.
As for the pizza offerings, options such as the Prosciutto di Parma, with boxcarr campo cheese, mozzarella, castelvetrano olives, grated garlic, chili oil; the Rosso, with crushed omate, garlic, olive oil, basil, black pepper, Ligurian oregano (without cheese); or the House Sausage, with mozzarella, spicy provolone, crushed tomato, lacinato kale and grated garlic. The price of the pizzas is $24. They also have delivery, which is the service Harry and Meghan usually order, according to People magazine.
