The TV star who sparked a generational controversy in the 1990s is now shining again after a long period of obscurity with the release of her documentary ‘Pamela, A Love Story’, and her recently published book ‘Love, Pamela’.

So, having expressed and purged himself emotionally through these artistic formats, Anderson now opens up about his relationship with writing and food in his e-newsletter for The Open Journal, in which he takes a humble and transparent approach.

“Cooking hasn’t always come so naturally to me, but I’ve always loved it,” Pamela Anderson wrote in her latest post. “I love writing recipes,” she continues. “I prefer not to measure and I rely mostly on my ‘keen eye’, and that brings out the best in me, especially in baking, you have to have patience: it’s a virtue and the only way to success.”

In this online space, the actress reveals the dishes and drinks she loves and incorporates into her daily routine, such as lean proteins, healthy fats and vegetables.

What does Pamela Anderson eat?

First, Anderson wrote that he tries to start the morning with a cup of tea. “I’m trying to drink less coffee and more tea,” she explained. “I love my glass teapot and rose and chamomile blends. Still, it’s a work in progress. This season I’ve planted a ‘tea garden’ and I’m looking forward to making my own brews.” However, she says a “strong” cortado – a drink with equal parts espresso and steamed milk – is her “morning weakness”.

Beyond coffee and tea, Anderson adds some kind of vegetable to each of his culinary concoctions. “Vegetables sustain me,” says Anderson. “I understand the challenge of ditching old habits and replacing the charcuterie board with a plate of vegetables or crudités. I love entertaining people and my goal is to serve enough dishes that people don’t miss the classic meat and cheese.

The model also reveals her passion for seafood, a sentiment she developed at home. “I’m an islander, so seafood has been a staple in our house,” she explains. “We had a smoker in the backyard, where my father used to confit salmon; I think I crave it.

“The sea is in my blood, but I’ve found that cast-iron cooking outdoors on an open fire with vegetables is just as satisfying and delicious, you just have to think a bit,” he continues.

Gardening and greening

Herbs have also become one of Anderson’s culinary obsessions, which she also includes in her cooking. “I have discovered the grace of gardening, fresh herbs, oils and flower essences: a long list of ingredients that I never tasted as a child, even though they were right in front of me, under our feet, in the forest, in nature.

In general, the actress highlights her healthy consumption practices in the newsletter, incorporating organic products into her diet on a daily basis, although she acknowledges that it is a privilege to be able to do so. “I know I’m lucky to have a choice, and to be able to grow and buy organic produce. But while we can, if we can, why not be conscious of how we eat, what we eat and how we will leave our kindest footprint on the earth… while making the biggest impact on hearts and minds.
