Jason Momoa joins the list of celebrities who have created a brand of spirits. This time the actor, known for playing Khal Drogo in the Game of Thrones series and the character of Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe, has founded his sustainable vodka brand with the support of his friend Blaine Halvorson.
The sophisticated vodka, which is handcrafted in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, is called Meili Vodka. “The water from which the vodka is made comes from the snow in the mountains, which is filtered through miles of subway caves. The other natural ingredients come to the distillery from several farms operated not far away by the same family for several generations,” notes theluxonomis. This results in a smooth, sweet and crystal clear spirit that can be enjoyed neat, at room temperature.
Meili vodka, which took them about seven years to plan and design, is available in most U.S. supermarkets for about $25. And if you want to buy it, you can see all the information here.
“This is not a celebrity brand. That has nothing to do with it. It just happens to be a celebrity who is involved. It’s about two people who really cared and built something. It wasn’t someone who came in and said, ‘Hey, man, we did this, put your face on here’… Every day someone puts a celebrity on something, and they don’t know the business, they don’t have any attachment to it,” they stress in the Los Angeles Times.
