On the residential fringes of Chicago now sits McDonald’s newest addition: a Golden Arches spinoff restaurant that has just landed in our galaxy.
Nearly a year after its opening was unveiled, photos have now been released of the new CosMc’s, which will serve the fast food chain’s classics alongside a range of ‘spacey’ options. In other words, ‘[A] whole new menu of items we’ve never seen before’, according to Iman Jalali on the X platform.
The restaurant, which takes its name from the alien character that appeared in the fast-food chain’s ads in the 1980s and 1990s, will include chai frappes, pear slushies, turmeric-spiced lattes and berry lemonades. Also spicy cheese sandwiches and a tomatillo slider, among other foods that will lead diners to their ship’s tables.
Another new feature comes with the breakfast menu, which will be extended throughout the day. McDonald’s is famous for its strict 10.30am cutoff time for that experience, but now CosMc’s will fulfil the public’s fantasy, offering them a Sausage and Egg McMuffin, for example, at 4pm.
