The premiere of Bruce Springsteen and his band’s tour in Barcelona has shown us many interesting spots in Barcelona. We have seen the Obamas, Spielberg and Springsteen have dinner at Rafa Zafra’s Amar, visit the modern art museum ‘Moco’, visit the Sagrada Familia and stroll through the streets of the Gothic Quarter.
Springsteen’s band has also been spotted at some tourist attractions in the Catalan capital, including some renowned restaurants. The band’s drummer, Max Weinberg, visited the Botafumeiro restaurant, one of the most renowned seafood restaurants in Barcelona.
This became known since the director of the establishment, Jesús Pérez, shared a video on his social networks with the artist, where he is seen enjoying the restaurant’s desserts. “We are at Botafumeiro with Max Weinberg after the concert with our desserts. The best drummer in the world,” said the restaurant manager.
Botafumeiro specializes in fish, seafood and Galician and Catalan cuisine and was founded in 1975 on Gran de Gràcia street by José Ramón Neira Pérez.
The restaurant offers products direct from the fish markets of Catalonia and Galicia, as well as rice and meat dishes and succulent desserts. In the menu we can find starters such as live clams or warm spider crab cake; in the seafood selection they offer dishes such as Botafumeiro style lobster, grilled Palamós prawns or different seafood and casseroles; in the rice section we can see the caldoso with lobster, seafood paella or black with beach squid; in the meats, the D. O. Tenderloin of D. O. Ternera Rubina Galician Beef. O. Ternera Rubia Gallega or grilled suckling pig; and for desserts they offer options such as Tarta de Santiago, Tatin flambé, crêpes Suzette prepared in front of the customer or soufflé.
