You don’t have to travel to another galaxy to get your hands on a gallon of milk inspired by the film saga. But you will need to travel to another country. On the other side of the ocean, grocery shops in the United States will soon be stocking their shelves with this blue milk to recreate one of Luke Skywalker’s legendary culinary scenes.
This galactic milk called ‘Star Wars TruMoo Blue Milk‘ will land on planet earth on 17 April, as part of Lucasfilm’s ‘Imperial March’ movement; a celebration of Star Wars that will take place in the weeks leading up to 4 May.
The drink thus transcends the screen to captivate all its movie fans with a vanilla flavour tinted with blue food colouring, of course. It is an iteration that evokes the blue milk that made its debut in the 1977 film ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope’. Specifically in the moment when Skywalker drinks blue milk while having a conversation with his uncles in the kitchen about the new droids R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Although the drink only appeared in one scene in its entire filmic constellation, it has become a cult classic within the ‘Star Wars’ community and fandom.
