If you are looking for culinary proposals that will lift your spirits during the complicated January slope, today we bring you the gastronomic flat you need. The restaurant A’Barra, located in Calle del Pinar 15 (28006, Madrid), launches new elaborations for this winter, which are added to a complete menu full of delicacies to cope with the winter cold.
In its almost eight years of history, A’Barra has become a gastronomic reference in the capital, thanks to its ability to perfectly combine traditional formulas with an innovative touch and always seeking to maintain a sustainable concept, giving special importance to the quality of the product. Special mention should also be made of its carefully selected wine cellar, with more than 950 references, and accumulates lost jewels and unusual treasures.
What will you be able to taste this winter at A’Barra?
The gastronomic bet of A’Barra is a safe value and, in addition, has at your disposal multiple options to please all palates. In addition to an extensive menu, which we will detail below, the restaurant also offers an exclusive Tasting Menu and has a bar section where you can enjoy live cooking in a fun and personalized way.
In the starters section, among the elaborations of chef Sergio Manzano, we can highlight the mellow stew of seasonal mushrooms and shallots butter; one of the classics of A’Barra, the warm salad of shrimps from Santa Pola, vinaigrette of its corals and codium pickle; or the original waffle of foie gras, coconut and raspberry foam.
On the marine proposals for this winter, there are dishes like the Galician black grouper with smoked butter sauce, zucchini flakes and herbaceous oil, the roasted blue lobster from the Ria, Diabla sauce, butter bread or the fish of the day, selected from the fish market, with Joselito chorizo hollandaise, pork crumbs and fried garlic. There is no lack of meats either, such as the classic Joselito Wellington sirloin steak, lemon curd and bordelaise sauce.
Within the tasting menu, which has a price per person of 159 €, you will find delicacies such as lobster ravioli with blue lobster from the estuary, and white wine sauce; Cantabrian skewered hake with Joselito chorizo hollandaise, pork crumbs and fried garlic; or Perigordini Eggs, a tribute to the great chef Benjamin Urdiain.
So if you want to embark on a gastronomic journey for all the senses, A’Barra will become the oasis you need to get over the January slope and face the rest of the winter with a better taste in your mouth.
