Kim Bui and her husband, Tim Bui, are the owners behind the Californian bakery Polar Playground, which bases its culinary practice on a fusion of art, science and chemistry.
The nostalgia of candyfloss and characters fuels these creations made with only sugar, air, colourings and flavourings; forming an animated cast that transcends the abstract form of the cloud to transform it into a creative piece that ranges from unicorns or koalas to pop culture characters such as the ninja turtles or different Pokémons.
In addition to the creative and eye-catching candyfloss, this dessert shop also has ice cream and cereal shakes on display; and even those who want something a little more sweetened can wrap ice cream bars in handmade cotton candy, like the rest of the figures that can also be ordered to order.
