It seems that this summer there is a great trend of collaborations between fashion and gastronomy. The latest has been the MAC’ramé collection launched by CHEETOS® Mac ‘N Cheese together with Coral Castillo, fashion designer and macramé artist. This limited edition is composed of slippers and bags made of macramé and with all the inspiration of Cheetos. The pieces have been created in three colors (orange, green and red), referencing the Cheetos Mac ‘N Cheese flavors: Bold & Cheesy, Cheesy Jalapeño and FLAMIN’ HOT®.

Inspired by the sneakers of the iconic Chester Cheeto -the brand’s mascot-, this new version of sneakers made of macramé and handmade by the artist Coral Castillo, have resulted in unique pieces, with their own style and fun, without forgetting the comfort of a shoe like this.

“I was inspired by the brand’s vibrant and bold flavors and gave them a macramé interpretation, which was both fun and challenging because it was my first time designing shoes. I am proud of this collaboration and can’t wait to see people wearing these pieces,” commented Castillo during the launch.

Mac and cheese elements in the design

The other item that makes up this collection is a waist bag, which features a typical Cheetos mac and cheese detail on the zipper. It also has a soft cheetah print lining and an adjustable faux leather strap with handmade macramé detailing. The size of the bag is about the size of a box of these Cheetos.

As this is a very limited edition, only a lucky few will be able to get their hands on these collector’s items. From August 9 to September 8, you can participate through this website. At the end of the period, 30 people selected at random will be able to receive a pair of these original sneakers, and another 15 will get the bag. Of course, participants must be from the United States.
