Closing the top 5 is this traditional Chinese preparation. Guotie, or gyozas or Chinese dumplings as we know them better, is a fried dough originating from northern China, which is usually filled with minced pork, Chinese cabbage, spring onions, ginger, rice wine and sesame seed oil. It is one of the most typical street dishes.
4. Neapolitan Pizza (Italy)
This emblem of Italian gastronomy needs few introductions. It is probably one of the most consumed dishes in the world. Its success is very simple: thin dough with high edges, not too big and with only tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil. Of course, to be original it must be certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN).
3. Phat kaphrao (Thailand)
In recent years, Thai food has been consolidating as one of the favorite options and this traditional Thai stir-fry is one of the clear examples. It is a dish that combines minced meat or seafood with other ingredients such as shallots, garlic and chilies, as well as holy basil. Also, it is usually seasoned with soy sauce, sugar and fish sauce. It also serves as an accompaniment to other foods such as rice and fried eggs.
2. Roti canai (Malaysia)
The second place goes to this flatbread made with flour, water, eggs and fat of Indian origin, although it is typical of Malaysia and other countries such as Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand. Being a flatbread, it is usually folded in several layers (the dough is thin) and served in a round shape to accompany recipes such as curry, fried eggs or beans. They can also be stuffed – in which case they are usually rectangular in shape – and can be filled with a wide variety of ingredients such as egg, onion, banana, sardines, margarine, instant noodles, cheese or pork.
1. Picanha (Brasil)
Leading the TasteTable table is a typical Brazilian dish. Picanha is one of the most popular and favorite cuts of meat around the world.
