In a hard-fought final, the jury, made up of professionals from the gastronomy sector and gastronomic journalism, decided that the best traditional patatas bravas in Spain are those prepared by Miguel Carretero at the Santerra restaurant in Madrid, which previously won the best croquette in the country and only a few months ago won its first Michelin star. In the final, he has faced the classic proposals of Daniel Moreno, from the restaurant Tragatá in Malaga) and Alejandro Loaiza from Informal in Barcelona.

In the creative section, where the premise was to prepare new versions of the popular recipe, the victory went to the proposal of chef Gonzalo Silla, from Vuelve Carolina, one of the hotspots that Quique Dacosta has in Valencia. The creative bravas prepared by Alejandro Ortega, from Vint restaurant (Mallorca), Sergio del Río, from Oleo restaurant (Málaga) and José Luis Bonilla Tipan, from Lume restaurant (Santiago de Compostela), Lucía Freitas’ gastronomic bar, were recognized as finalists.
