While Willem Dafoe enjoys a Michelob Ultra beer, Doja Cat sneaks into the Taco Bell ad to photobomb. The 2025 Super Bowl will, like its previous editions, screen countless ads with celebrity cameos starring in their new ad stories. We take a look back at some of this year’s most notable gastro spots in which stars from all fields join teams, most notably Uber Eats, to take part in the game.

Adam Brody, Nick Offerman & James Harden for Pringles

Pringles is participating in the Super Bowl for the eighth consecutive year with an ad that will air at the end of the second quarter. For the 2025 spot, the brand has decided to feature a cast of stars including none other than the NBA’s Adam Brody, Nick Offerman and James Harden. They have all starred in a series of teasers that pay homage to the famous Pringles moustache: a comical concept devised by New York creative agency FCB to accompany its new collection of Pringles illustrated with celebrity faces.

Doja Cat for Taco Bell

The rapper is once again collaborating with Taco Bell for their Super Bowl commercial. In the advert, the chain wanted to reverse the roles between fans and celebrities, making Doja Cat desperately want to appear in the photo taken by some customers with her new ‘Drive-Thru’ camera.

When they realise that ‘someone is photoboming’ them, a Taco Bell employee appears and yells at Doja: ‘for the last time, no celebrities’, to which she replies: ‘I want to be in this ad’. The two have a verbal sparring match before the ‘Paint the Town Red’ singer hides in the bushes to continue her mission. The teaser ends with the narrator’s conclusion: ‘If you had your picture taken on one of our Drive-Thru cameras, you could be in our Big Game ad. Participants may be slightly famous, but not Doja Cat famous’.

Willem Dafoe & Catherine O’Hara for  Michelob Ultra

What better way to represent the spectators of a sporting event than with a toast of beer while the real athletes are working their asses off on the grass. This is how actors Willem Dafoe and Catherine O’Hara appear in the Michelob Ultra beer ad for its Super Bowl LIX advertising campaign, while professional athletes Sabrina Ionescu (professional basketball player), Ryan Crouser (Olympic shot putter) and Randy Moss (former professional football player) battle it out in an intense game of lawn pickeball (a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong).

The ad is called ‘Anticipation’ and is part of Michelob Ultra’s new campaign, Play For An Ultra, which continues its tradition of dueling Hollywood personalities and professional athletes in a ‘friendly’ duel, as it did with Jason Sudeikis and Lionel Messi, in order to convey a beer consumption incentive that is always driven by an active and entertaining lifestyle.

David Beckham for Stella Artois

As a brand ambassador for the beer brand, the former footballer and businessman will star in one of the iconic Super Bowl LIX ads. David Beckham is shown in the teaser sharing a beer with his ‘parents’, when he receives some unexpected news. ‘You have a brother we’ve never told you about, the other David,’ his father confesses to him in a direct and comical manner, as a couple of bottles of Stella Artois and a bowl of pretzels await them on the table. After showing him two identical photographs of when the two Davids were babies and unable to recognise who is who, David ends the trailer for one of the most important sporting event of the year with the phrase: And where is he?

Martha Stewart & Charli XCX for Uber Eats

The unexpected duo of Charli XCX and Martha Stewart have also teamed up with Uber Eats’ Super Bowl team to focus on the viral trend of “We listen, but we don’t judge”.

The music icon and the lifestyle mogul star in this ad playing at revealing private matters to each other with the game. ‘Honestly, Charli, when my agent sent me your name, I thought it was the wifi password,’ Stewart says. ‘Well, when my agent told me you were doing this, I thought you’d be catering,’ replies Charli.

Charli and Stewart end the 30-second clip with a final joint revelation, in which the ‘Guess’ singer jokes that she thought the Super Bowl was ‘something I could order from Uber Eats’, while Stewart thought it was ‘something else’.

Matthew McConaughey for Uber Eats

Matthew McConaughey trades in his Texan image and accent for a Chicago accent in the Uber Eats ad. In it, the actor struts in front of a full-length mirror with a photo of former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka pasted next to it. Next to the photo, the Greenlights author looks almost identical to the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee with a bushy moustache.

While standing near his reflection, McConaughey practices saying ‘the Bears’. ‘It sounds good, but it’s not the man,’ he criticises himself, launching into several attempts to replicate the Chicago accent and snacking on some food between attempts.Matthew McConaughey trades in his image and his Texas accent for a Chicago accent in the Uber Eats ad.
