The Surgeon’s SRGN brand, the L.A. custom sneaker company run by Dominic Ciambrone, is now taking waffles to another level with the first ever custom Eggo trainers, which even feature their iconic drip.

As part of the promotion of its new ‘Fully Loaded’ waffle line, the brand has created ‘Eggo Fully Loaded Kicks’ themed for the most eccentric sneakerheads and/or nostalgic foodies.

The footwear comes in two flavours: the ‘Fully Loaded Chocolate Chip Brownie’, with a chocolate and chocolate chip filled batter, and the ‘Fully Loaded Strawberry Delight’ made with a strawberry flavoured batter.

Both designs evoke the texture of waffles through a pattern with lattice bottoms. Embossed suede leather covers the silhouette in shades of chocolate brown or toasted caramel with hints of pink. On the midsole, waffle fillers finish off the model alongside a hidden zip pocket to store your favourite syrup.

‘I grew up eating Eggo waffles for breakfast and over the years I’ve seen how influential waffle grid soles have become in this industry, so I’m excited to put our own spin on this iconic brand. I hope fans will appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making them by hand as much as they will enjoy the new flavours,’ says creator Ciambrone.

The collection will go on sale Friday 17 May at noon at Urban Necessities for around $150 each pair.
