The first national mochi donut store arrives in Madrid

The cake that hybridizes traditional American donuts with Japanese mochi has already revolutionized the capital.

Mochi lovers will feel some excitement when reading this. The fluffy mochi donuts, also known as poi mochi, have just landed in the capital. Specifically thanks to the Momo Dochi store, where they also serve mochi ice cream, along with Japanese drinks such as matcha tea.

‘Mochi donuts, combine the softness of Japanese mochi with the fluffiness of traditional donuts. Their unique texture, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, makes them irresistible,’ read the notes of this emerging enclave that has just set a milestone at the national level.

The Japanese experience can be experienced from the centrally located at Calle Príncipe, 12. In their space, they have a delicious display in which mochis can be ordered without anything, with a flambé effect, covered with chocolate and even with ice cream. In addition, they have the new culinary trend based on mochi ice cream, from which you can choose between flavors such as coconut milk, black sesame, matcha or fruit flavors.

Depending on the mochi donut, ice cream or drink you choose, the price will vary from 3.90 euros to approximately 4.50 euros. Are you going to miss out?
