The typical phrase “what you ask for / what you get”, to refer to any inspiration or replica that bears no resemblance to reality, could apply perfectly in this case. It turns out that a mother ordered a Minions-inspired birthday cake for her son. She ordered it from a famous American chain called HEB. Expectations were high that her Minion cake would be realistic, as she had a cute cake she had found on Pinterest as a reference.
But once again, when she received the cake, it had nothing to do with reality. In fact, in the video she posted on TikTok, which has accumulated almost 3 million views, the woman begins the post by stating that it is “the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.”
According to the user, everything looked very good, since the bakery even asked her if she wanted shading between the blue and yellow, to which she replied: “No, pure blue and pure yellow”. Finally, this was the cake she received:
