Over the last decade, coffee culture has gone beyond the niche sphere -and its original target- to become more than a fashion, it has become a lifestyle that connects directly with the zeitgeist.
From Tapas, we present a new series of nationally renowned speciality cafés to put on your wish list. This time, we focus the location on Valencia and all its spaces dedicated to this drink, which, whether emerging or classic, stand out for their aesthetic sensibility and their quality coffees accompanied by handmade pastries and/or savoury creations.
FIVEO COFFEE
Fiveocoffe presents itself as the culinary extension of the spirit of its contemporary fashion shop Fiveo. Officially opened in 2025, this specialty coffee shop is nestled in Ruzafa, and embodies their passion for a lifestyle that celebrates clothing, architecture, art and the perfect cup of coffee. With beans roasted locally in Valencia, Five Coffee invites you to savour the craftsmanship and culture that inspire everything we do.’ In addition, in this venue, they have a canned coffee design that just elevates the whole concept that represents it.

CASA FRAN
‘Fran is a coffee and other little things. Fran is a café with personality’, say the notes of this café & home where you can eat delicious, homemade food with a cup of coffee in a space where architecture meets gastronomy. Inside FRAN‘s artistic oasis you can enjoy speciality coffees alongside healthy dishes, and an exhibition and sales area for products selected by Victoria and Milagros Grosso, the founders of the project.

BLACKBIRD
Blackbird‘s cups serve only specialty coffee, seasonal and freshly roasted by the best roasters. Their cult drink can be combined with their range of croissants, cookies, cakes and countless innovative pastry iterations such as their pistachio cream-filled croissant dough, pistachio crumble and candied kumquats. Importantly, everything is baked in their own bakery.

EAST CREMA COFFEE
The East Crema Coffee experience spreads the culture of good coffee from the city of Túria in a space built in organic materials that reflects its identity and values ‘from the earth to our hands’. East Crema Coffee Sorní is a place where you can enjoy your favourite coffee with a fusion of tradition, sustainability and minimalism. A new space faithful to our concept and our inspiration in the city of Tokyo’. In their proposal, they have 100% Arabica coffee infused with floral notes, chocolate and fruits.

CASA RAÍZ
‘We all need to belong. Coffee is a way of doing that’ is the philosophy behind this Mediterranean-inspired café where everything from the furniture to the cups is carefully selected to make you feel at home. At Casa Raíz they are speciality coffee, homemade pastries and homemade ice cream. A place where @holacoffee coffee from Brazil and Costa Rica always shines, which you can accompany with its range of pastries, banana bread, cakes or savoury dishes such as its baked butter croissant with melted cheeses, cooked ham, rocket and cherry tomato.

LOS PICOS CAFÉ
Los Picos Café was one of the first neighbourhood cafés to introduce speciality coffee in Valencia. Today it is a benchmark in the sector for fusing the best coffee with a range of American-inspired homemade pastries in which hits such as its Cuban sandwich, its brioche toast with butter and jam or its avocado toast coexist.

BLUEBELL
Bluebell is leading the specialty coffee offer with a variety roasted by women in Valencia. The sisters who conceived and run the project, Yolanda and Marian Valero, transmit their love for coffee culture in connection with the planet; diluted in some delicacies such as their flat white or their iced lavender latte with homemade lavender syrup. To accompany them, the great recommendation is their pancakes with fresh cream and toasted sesame praline.
