Film critics and series devotees continue to praise Christopher Storer‘s work. The mass cultural phenomenon now breaks its own record of 10 Emmys for a comedy series, adding yet another statuette to its collection.
Despite ‘Hacks’ winning best comedy, ‘The Bear’ made history again on Sunday night, winning 11 trophies at the 76th Emmys. Indeed, 2024 has been a record-breaking year for the FX series.
In July of this year, its second season topped the comedy series tally with 23 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It surpassed the record of 22 Emmy nominations held by NBC’s ‘30 Rock’ since 2009.
The big award wins were for lead comedy actor (Jeremy Allen White as Carmy), supporting comedy actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard ‘Richie’ Jerimovich), supporting comedy actress (Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina) and directing (Christopher Storer for ‘Fishes’ or Ramy Youssef for ‘Honeydew’).
