Tesla‘s empire has not only transcended globally in the automotive industry, it has also done so with its original tequila brand, which Elon Musk would launch in November 2020. Now, the tycoon is once again creating a must for lovers of agave spirits with a new mezcal sealed by the creativity of Javier Verdura.
This bottle adds to his agave collection that debuted last year during the month of June, marking an instant sell-out induced by Musk’s influence.
Josh Jacobs, senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Flaviar, the spirits e-commerce website associated with Tesla Mezcal, talks about its tie-up with Tesla: ‘At Flaviar, we are inspired by the ecosystem Tesla has created through its groundbreaking innovations and are proud to be the trusted technology and fulfillment partner for Tesla Mezcal. The mezcal features a black lightning bolt design devised by Javier Verdura, Tesla’s director of product design. Inspired by its Mexican roots, the mezcal fuses Espadín and Bicuishe agave varieties and is distilled in stills before being bottled at 86 proof. Tasting notes include raisins, pineapple, overripe lime and some underripe stone fruit on the palate, along with equal parts mineral and floral flavors. You can now purchase a bottle online.
