One of Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid‘s favourite plans is to dine out at one of New York’s cult restaurants, but those recently opened with viral projection. The Corner Store, which falls into that second category, was the place chosen by the duo to stage an evening out on Saturday night, the 21st.
The pop icon and the model attended the West Broadway restaurant aesthetically synchronised in coordinated looks of trench coats in neutral tones.
The Corner Store, run by the team behind Catch, is an upscale reinterpretation of a classic American eatery that pays nostalgic tribute to New York City. The restaurant combines the timeless charm of the past with a revamped dining proposition that includes starters such as Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Five Cheese Pizza Rolls; as well as main courses such as Roasted Whole Dover Sole and Disco Steak Frites.
Meanwhile, its cocktail menu revolves around one of the great classics, the martini, through a wide range of expressions. ‘We have a culinary approach to this programme: all our recipes are marked with exact weight, sugar level and water dilution percentage using techniques including infusion, criovac, sous vide, milk wash and oil wash. Each cocktail is meticulously crafted, but still playful and accessible, to make the experience as coherent and enjoyable as possible.’
Aside from The Corner Store, Swift is known to be a regular visitor to some of the best restaurants in New York, where she has a flat, such as Casa Cipriani, Emilio’s Ballato, Waverly Inn and Via Carota.
