‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour‘, the film documenting the American pop icon’s Eras Tour during her 2023-2024 concert tour, premiered last Wednesday at the AMC Theater at The Grove.
In that acclaimed debut, the singer brought together a constellation of stars and personalities who have illuminated her career and inspired her music over the years. And, of course, among them was the great Queen B.
‘I’ll never know what my life would have been like without the influence of @beyonce,’ Swift wrote in the caption of her Instagram boomerang. ‘The way she has taught me and every artist out here to break the rules and challenge industry norms. Her generosity of spirit’.
The praise for Beyoncé went on to reference her ‘resilience and versatility’, and her figure as a ‘guiding light’ throughout her career. The fact that she showed up tonight was like a fairytale’.
The Renaissance Tour performer, who has also taken us through her renaissance era this year, not only captured the spotlight walking the red carpet with Swift, but even shared a bucket of popcorn with her in the theatre seats.
In this scene of synergies and influences projected across 14 theatres, guests were treated to a buffet of sweets, cocktails, soft drinks and popcorn, while Swift delivered a series of emotional speeches.
Each and every person in this theatre has been selected and invited to this evening because they have shown some kind of additional support for this tour, and I appreciate that more than you can imagine,’ she said.
