From Tapas we have compiled the best plans with which to make the most of the weekend in Madrid, and to indulge in hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, festivals, events and museums. Grab your diary and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 21ST

This weekend fashion will take to the stage at MBFWM with a series of catwalk shows by leading brands such as Paloma Suárez, Custo Barcelona and Angel Schlesser, which will close on Sunday 23rd with the 25th edition of the EGO catwalk where nine emerging brands will come together to present their exciting proposals to the public.

Between the freneticism dictated by the fashion shows, we will take the opportunity to make other fun plans in connection with music, art and gastronomy, starting with the tarchi concert at Sala Changó. The artist will make his debut in the capital with his new album ‘amor amor amor amor’ to sing us his deep themes with experimental bases. Get your ticket here.

SATURDAY 22ND

On Saturday we will sit at one of the tables of the new trendy tavern from the owners of El Maño and Casa Macareno. At Casa Tabacos, which has an aesthetic and spirit very similar to that of their other ‘eating houses’, we’ll try traditional dishes with a vermouth on tap.

From the menu of this former tobacco shop we will order different dishes such as its burrata with garlic prawns, its cannelloni or torreznos and its tomato salad with sardines, which can only be found in this establishment located at Calle Palma 69.

At night we’ll go down to the most legendary clubbing basement in the capital to dance the night away with the MercaBrrrrap w/ Entrañas party. From 0.30 to 6.00h the DJ line-up of MERCABRRRRRAP™ w/ ENTRAÑAS (TraTraTrax, Ecuador) + MERCA BAE + AFTER DISASTER + DON FUEGOTE will provide the music and high voltage mixes at Sala Siroco 🚨. Ticket sales are available at DICE.

SUNDAY 23RD

On Sunday we will make a trip to IFEMA to enjoy the catwalk that recognises the talent of emerging national designers as part of the 40th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid catwalk.

This year, proposals that connect with the zeitgeist of fashion through upcycling, innovation and/or emotions and personal experiences from Rtama, Studio Cumbre, Odis, Aleixandri Studio, Pat Equilux, Alineo Studio, Bonet, Antonio del Canto and David Moss will take to the catwalk. The winning firm will also have the opportunity to show at one of Mercedes-Benz’s international fashion weeks, specifically Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico.

After Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, we’ll be dining with friends at NACHA, another new restaurant that has just opened in a former barracks in Conde Duque. Based on the concept of ‘small plates, meat and wine’, they have a menu with simple dishes prepared on the grill with a focus on the product.

Among its options designed for sharing, the meat empanada, the marriage of anchovy and anchovy or its vitel toné with sauce stand out; to finish in style with a dulce de leche flan, accompanied by a cloud of mascarpone.
