From Tapas we have compiled the best plans with which to make the most of the weekend in Madrid, and to indulge in hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, festivals, events and museums. Grab your diary and take note of our weekly proposal.
FRIDAY 31ST
Club Villanos presents the CARISTA + DJ Gostoso + SENDA FATAL party with a dream line-up for electronic music devotees, ranging from Chicago-style deep house to industrial techno and even soulful UK garage sounds. Madrid-born DJ Gostoso will be another of the artists taking to the stage with rhythms such as house, disco, world music, breaks and funk.
Finally, Senda Fatal, Rodrigo Suárez’s alter ego, will transmit to the audience his deep emotional connection with music, exploring different variants within electronica. Get your pass here.
SATURDAY 1
On Saturday we will eat at HIRO, the project of chef Lucas Ciasullo that everyone is talking about. Within his precise, simple and evolving menu, dictated by seasonal produce, we can find comforting dishes such as beans with ham cream or Cyprus halloumi cheese with cranberry sauce.

For dessert, the restaurant’s top recommendations are the pear in syrup with almond cream or the yoghurt and pistachio, with lemon cream, oil and miso paste. All of this is accompanied by their natural wines, which they offer both by the glass and by the bottle with Spanish references.

As night falls we’ll be treated to the neon green lights of Antídoto Club, and hypnotic sets from Mel Woods + Jolani Jhones; accompanied by residents Diego Armando + Yosef in the main room, while the second room will be the Chirie Vegas Afterparty. Get your ticket here before the price goes up.
SUNDAY 2
On Sunday, what better way to cure a hangover than with a cocido madrileño from Taberna Pedraza. Chef Carmen Carro prepares the traditional recipe with less fat, highlighting the value of the raw material. Her cocido is made up of three turnovers, and stands out for its fat-free broth, classic Castilian chickpeas and the best Iberian meats, which have made it the star recipe of Taberna Pedraza. Where? Calle de Recoletos, 4.

In the afternoon we will have a film session to watch Brady Corbet‘s historical drama ‘The Brutalist’ starring Adrien Brody.

‘Fleeing post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in the United States to rebuild his life, his work and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after they were forced to separate during the war due to changing borders and regimes. Alone and in a new country totally unknown to him, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognises his talent for architecture. But amassing power and building a legacy comes at a price…’ (Filmaffinity).
