From Tapas we have compiled the best plans with which to make the most of the weekend in Madrid, and to indulge in hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, festivals, events and museums. Grab your diary and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 17TH

On Friday, the ALERON party will once again get the crowd revved up and revving from the booth. The fourth edition of Selecta’s eagerly awaited electronica event will kick off at nightfall in the Sala Independance, leaving @pituhelloworld, SORA ÉKE (@sora.eke), as the night’s great promise, and the ‘kid’ @selecta33, one of the most reputed producers and DJs on the national urban scene, at the controls. If you want to save yourself the FOMO, get your tickets here before they sell out.

SATURDAY 18

On Saturday we’ll have some ‘picsas’ from the well-known Argentinian pizza restaurant, made in a wood-fired oven, with local and seasonal ingredients. At PICSA, we’ll try one of the local favourites: the tomato, Picsa cheese, duck confit and figs, which we’ll share with a Neapolitan with fresh cherry, parmesan, basil oil and olives from Aragon. For dessert we will opt for their egg flan with dulce de leche and whipped cream. A real hit.

In the evening, the party will continue at Club Cadavra with Criminal Crisis with Parris. As headliner in Room 1, Parris (UK), known for his high voltage sets mixing UK Garage, Break, Bass and House, will be welcomed. Joining him will be frankydrama and Luska. Synchronously, room 2 will be occupied by the well-known Madrid collective Sables Mouvants, with Gancho, John García and Pillen. Ready for a night of avant-garde sounds?

SUNDAY 19

On Sunday we will combine a viral breakfast with a concert. A perfect plan with which to close the weekend that will start at CASTO, the speciality coffee shop and honest bakery of content creators Sara Gim and Sofía Bustin, which generates endless queues of people who want to try all the artisan delicacies in its viral display. There we will try their new sweet, the so-called ‘chuasán de chocolate’: an iteration of the traditional classic made with croissant dough, along with one of their speciality coffees from Nicaragua.

At 7pm we will put the sensory focus on the concert by Averzzo, who, for the first time, will present his EP ‘Cuando menos te lo esperas’ (When you least expect it). The artist will take to the stage of the mythical Siroco venue with a show full of nostalgic sounds, feelings and energy, which will also include several collaborations from his repertoire.
