From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the weekend in Madrid, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 6

We will start the December long weekend discovering the new viral Asian specialized in chicken katsu. In this cozy restaurant that shines from Luna Street 22, we will combine their pork or chicken bowls battered in crispy panko, accompanied by their sauces; as the ‘chikin katsu kare’, a chicken breast in batter with rice and curry sauce.

Katsu’s affordable menu also includes other dishes such as ‘Katsudon’, a bowl of rice topped with a thin omelette, strips of duroc pork in panko batter and nori seaweed slices. All this is accompanied by their gyozas, of which they serve an original smash version, fried and stuffed with beef or vegetables.

SATURDAY 7

On Saturday morning we will visit Adèle Aproh‘s new exhibition hosted by La Causa Galería. The exhibition ‘MASCARADE‘, which shares space with Raquel Jimenez Molina’s work entitled ‘Tell you everything for the first time’, represents a visual satire where the characters, dressed in extravagant fabrics with circus motifs, get lost behind their own masks, shown as the facade chosen to present themselves in society. ‘The immutable and expressionless faces of the identical protagonists merge with their costumes and make it impossible to decipher their emotions.’

‘Some visible, some not, Adèle Aproh reminds us that we all wear masks, inviting us to contemplate it not as a barrier, but as a mirror that reflects our own identity, as well as our fears and aspirations,’ read the exhibition notes.

This time, we will live the MONDO experience in ‘tardeo’ mode, to vibrate in high voltage with the session of Mondo Krystal #03, and the electronic sets of the cast of DJS made up of Daria Kolosova, SPFDJ, Gerardo Niva, who have played in some of the best clubs in the world. After the party, we will continue with the afterparty until 8 am with Krystal Artists and Poodle. Where? At Terraz Jowke, Av. San Martín de Valdeiglesias, 22, 28922 Alcorcón, Madrid. Get your pass here.

SUNDAY 9

On Sunday we will connect with the magic and festive spirit of Christmas at The Social Hub Madrid. There we will taste the new gourmet panettone created together with the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Spain, Alejandro Serrano.

The collaboration elevates panettone to another culinary and aesthetic level with an innovative reinterpretation that combines the highest quality dark and white chocolate, enveloped in a delicate strawberry chocolate coating. It is a nod to the signature pink color that defines Serrano’s creativity and evokes sweet memories of Christmas childhood.

After breakfast-brunch we will dance again until nightfall with the vermouth session with bakalao by Canito, Monty, Dj Tono and Secret Guest at El Sótano (La Latina). From 1:00 pm until 11 pm, all the hits of the early 2000s will resound, represented by the great figures of the time. Don’t miss it, and get your ticket here.
