From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the weekend in Madrid, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.
FRIDAY 25TH
On Friday we will let ourselves be eclipsed by the liquid proposal and aesthetics that orbits La Estrella, the cocktail bar of Edgar Kerri and Laura Vandall, located in one of the most effervescent urban centers of the capital.
In the midst of its nocturnal atmosphere upholstered in ocean blue, decorated with works of art in the form of allegories of Madrid’s nightlife, its cocktail menu dazzles, reinterpreting classics such as the Martini, the Cosmopolitan or the Manhattan. All this accompanied by a series of starters and dishes such as crispy pizzas, gildas or bikinis that dilute an infinity of flavors. Where? Calle de la Estrella, 3.
After a pre-party at the trendiest cocktail bar in the capital, we will head to the quintessential nightclub that follows in the same wake: La Discoteca. In the Sala Cocó we will dance until dawn with the London dj and producer Ahad Elley, also known as Ahadadream, and his mixes of UK Funky, batida, amapiano or gqom. Get your pass here.
SATURDAY 26TH
On Saturday we will go to eat at Rafa Zafra‘s contemporary dining house. In his restaurant, located in the luxurious NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding hotel, the Sevillian chef turns tradition into avant-garde to serve a menu with a high level of traditional essence.
Casa de Comidas is a tribute to the traditional recipes and dishes, which Zafra elevates to haute cuisine, along with a wine list in which the red wines from the main Spanish Denominations of Origin have a special role, along with a selection of champagnes of great houses, as well as sparkling wines, whites and rosés. We will opt there for its delicious slow-cooked stew made with the best ingredients of the land.
In the afternoon we will play to survive in real life in the new experiential pop-up that has just presented ‘El Juego del Calamar: The Experience‘ in Madrid. In Espacio Ibercaja Delicias, we will enter into its gloomy ‘squid game’ inspired by the worldwide Netflix phenomenon.
After going through its 5 life or death tests, and its challenges taken from the Korean series, we will also enjoy all the Korean products exhibited in its night market. Where? At Paseo de las Delicias, 61.
SUNDAY 27TH
Sunday brunch will be at El Gordito, the cantina in Malasaña where we will enjoy their famous pancakes with bacon in the purest American style, topped with maple syrup and a small piece of butter, along with a coffee from The Bran, a German specialty brand. We will continue with their baked chicken milanesa sandwich, aioli, papay brioche bread with a natural wine at noon to start the classic ‘mañaneo’ on Sunday.
At night, we will continue the weekend party at Cassette Club with sets by Judy, the Basque dj and producer who explores unconventional sounds within techno, and Jesús Riaño, Casette Club’s resident dj who has played in some of the best clubs in the world. Don’t be left out, and book your pass here.
