From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the most of the weekend in Ibiza, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 21ST

Ibiza could be an artistic expression in itself. A concept that perfectly represents both the Grand Paradiso hotel, where we will be staying on this occasion, and the whole constellation of hospitality projects that encompasses Concept Hotel Group.

Grand Paradiso is a hotel dedicated to audiovisual art in all its forms: cinema, video art or video clips, which pays tribute to the seventh art and its most inspiring references that give name to its four large suites: David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Pedro Almodovar and Quentin Tarantino.

This ode to cinema materialized over the bay of San Antonio, has an interior design in which IlmioDesign studio follows the aesthetic canons of art deco, such as pastel colors, geometrization or contrasts of light and textures that erect a work of architectural art as a whole.

The sun having already set over the sea, we will head to one of the new trendy restaurants that welcomes the White Island, called Tigre Morado. In this spot, characterized essentially by the Mediterranean identity, between elements of local craftsmanship and natural materials, we will dine some of the dishes that displays its gastronomic proposal in which fuses the Mediterranean cuisine with Peruvian cuisine.

Flavorful preparations that play with textures and explosive combinations on the palate, such as the octopus anticullego, the island tomato carpaccio with acevichada sauce or the sea and mountain paellas with aji amarillo.

If you like sushi, you can’t miss their nigiri, especially the red tuna with yellow chili or truffled salmon, or their sashimi cuts with different types of fish.

SATURDAY 22ND

On Saturday morning, after having activated all our senses in the Grand Paradiso pool, we will visit the Ksar Living gallery that currently houses the masterpiece of Ibiza-based artist Miranda Makaroff, in which she depicts a realm where colors collide, boundaries disintegrate and art and design merge into a symphony of visual pleasure.

‘This work represents deep and heavy feelings that I always carry inside. It is the feeling that my existence is worthless and that, if I ever disappear, no one will notice. The sad faces form a circle that represents the endless loop of thoughts. I wanted to break this loop with a vibrant and degraded sunset in the form of a flower. Suddenly, this darkness can turn into something vibrant, beautiful and full of joy,’ expresses the artist on Instagram about the work.

After delving into Makaroff’s universe of abstraction and color, we will eat at LADO, another of the gastronomic projects that has just emerged from the depths of the island, by the hand of renowned entrepreneur Jordan Rocca.

This Spanish cuisine restaurant in Marina Botafoch, which is destined to become one of the meeting points of the social and cultural elite, presents a culinary proposal signed by chef Ángel Zapata; offering traditional recipes fused with modernity such as tuna steak carpaccio, truffle and reblochon bikini, Iberian ham croquettes or grilled fish and meats.

The afternoon plan will be simple: sunbathe and enjoy the sea of Cala Conta, one of the most crystal clear beaches of the island, surrounded by beauty and vegetation.

SUNDAY 23RD

Sunday’s gastro ritual will take place in Silencio Ibiza, the trendy beach bar designed by David Lynch located in the heart of Cala Molí. A place that connects nature and art in a new version designed by the architecture studio Moredesign.

In this space by the sea, we can taste the Mediterranean-inspired menu designed by Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, in which he reflects his vision of the island through dishes such as stuffed piquillo peppers, grilled crab, Galician-style octopus or grilled Iberian pork feather. A proposal that also includes avant-garde interpretations of salads or vegetarian dishes such as lasagna, as well as wood-fired delicacies such as Saint Pierre a la ligure.

To close the weekend in style, what better than a Swedish House Mafia session at Ushuaïa Ibiza? In this emblematic club of the island we can dance until late at night with the house and electro mixes of the trio formed by Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, who have altered the global electronic scene.

Its oversized sounds and the incendiary levels of light and sensorially stimulating visuals projected by this club will make this party one of the highlights of the summer.
