From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the most of the weekend in Barcelona, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 7

Friday night we will change the mood to party at Cloud 9 Sound System Hi-Fi Analogue Party at La Nau (Poble Nou). In his ship we will dance to the rhythm of his vinyl sets and his audiophile sound system inspired by David Mancuso’s The Loft and hifi parties around the world. There we will be able to pair their sounds of disco, soul, house, funk, new wave or jazz, along with a feast of vegetarian food and natural wines.

Now in our 5th year, those who have been coming to Cloud 9 will tell you, it’s a home for music lovers of all backgrounds to dance to such an excellent analog sound system that you can’t find in the clubs of Barcelona, where we really try to create that warm feeling of being at a house party with friends.’ Get your pass here.

SATURDAY 8

On Saturday we will visit the installation by Arale Reartes and Parachilna as part of the lighting design festival OFF Llum BCN 2025. ‘Belief System: Constellation’ is presented as a work that explores how personal beliefs shape our identity and influence our perception of the world. ‘Through Parachilna luminaries arranged in a constellation, along with music created by Pedro Vian, Reartes creates an introspective self-portrait that connects individual beliefs with life experiences. In a performance documented on video, the Barcelona artist activates each light while expressing the associated belief, symbolizing the process of self-knowledge and transformation’.

The installation will be presented at Nave Seis from February 7-9, 2025, in collaboration with Modern Obscure Music.

In the evening, we will go up to the rooftop of the Grand Hyatt Barcelona to dine at Omar Malpartida’s Peruvian restaurant. From the highest point of the city, we will delve into Maymanta’s Peruvian-Mediterranean fusions based on avant-garde gastronomy.

In its menu we can find tapas such as corn corn pancake with guacamole mousse and red shrimp tartar, and plenty of 100% Peruvian dishes such as its tiradito nikkei, chicken canga or grilled steak. We will close the experience with desserts such as the lucuma and chocolate panacotta or its torrija apicaronada with pumpkin brioche, with a pisco macerated with fruit in hand.

SUNDAY 9

On Sunday we will eat at Pimentel, one of Barcelona’s best-known tapas bars. Its interior and its aesthetically elevated design is orchestrated around a marble bar with stools, and low tables where you can eat seasonal dishes prepared by Martín Pimentel, among other chefs.

All of them serve an ode to traditional and grandmother’s cuisine but with a modern look that is reflected in dishes such as shrimp croquettes, anchovy gildas or Galician scallops. The local must-haves are the tartar of pimentel with tuna and fresh oysters. Not to mention its shrimp croquettes, truffled cannelloni and Iberian feather, from the meat section.

In the afternoon we will go thrifting to the new vintage market ‘DEMASIADO MARKET’. An emerging project created by Cristina Len and Lis Moros, in collaboration with Erko Studio, Articles didal or Yabang BCN, which will bring together a curated selection of clothing and accessories with a variety of styles and sizes. In addition, there will be a stand in which Perlas Gems will offer dental gemstones, a matcha stand by Tranquilo Matcha and a dj set by Bisous Violets. Where? At Llull street, 57, 1-3.
