From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the most of the weekend in Barcelona, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 11

On Friday we will connect one more weekend with the modern romanticism of Sala Sentimiento. With its party that will mix a range of genres and generations under the musical curation of DJ Clara, aka @akainusound.

Live shows and DJ sets of established selectors will share the bill with new talents, both national and international, to make us dance to the rhythm of the freshest electronic music under the powerful sound system of Nica. This edition will be eclipsed by the B2B of LUIS COSTA and JANDRO ALVARFER, FACE-TIC and WILL DE LUXE, and LZZTTO and AKA INU.

SATURDAY 12

On Saturday we will escape in a mansion dedicated to jazz to be captivated by the voice of Carlota Urdiales, and the set of DJ Cidtronyck. The event will take place in a beautiful villa in Pedralbes (Barcelona). There, ‘The Jazz Mansion‘ will be installed, a cultural meeting with music, DJ, dance shows, cocktails, market and food, which will last from 1pm to 8pm. The exact location will be revealed once the ticket is purchased. You can do it here.

From that musical stage we will go to another in a much higher and accelerated frequency. The Boiler Room lands this time in Barcelona, and will do so in the Mercedes Barcelona from 15h. There, the electronic purtas and ravers will be able to dance to the rhythm of high voltage sets by Less Distress, Drazzit, X CLUB, Boys Noiz, Sevyn 0000 or Matriark. You can’t miss it.

SUNDAY 13

On Sunday we will leave the party aside, to eat in one of the most promising emerging locals in the upper area of Barcelona. Bar Bocata is the new trendy retro-castizo bar that serves breakfasts such as sandwiches or tortilla skewers, and classic dishes or tapas such as gildas matrimonio, raciones de capipota; as well as lunch dishes such as artichokes in hollandaise sauce or chickpeas with blood sausage and squid, to accompany with a good wine in hand.

We will close the weekend in artistic key at MACBA. There we will visit the new exhibition ‘Màquines del temps. Redibuixar el passat i fabular el futur a la presó’, curated by Mery Cuesta, which will be available until January 12, 2025.

This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between Antoni Hervàs and artists in deprivation of liberty. The exhibition invites us to reflect on the perception of time in prison, a space where reflections on the past and longings for the future emerge. Through artistic creations, the exhibition addresses the peculiarities of working in a prison context, highlighting the need for expression through art. Hervàs has worked intensively with inmates from various prisons in Catalonia, creating six totems that integrate drawings, paintings and ceramics, transforming the inmates into guides of the prison world.
