From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the most of the weekend in Barcelona, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.
FRIDAY 23
For Friday to become a mythical day, you will have to start the route at Bar El Pollo. This traditional icon of the Barcelona scene is known above all for its Basque omelettes prepared by Aimar Cordoba, which have captivated even Rosalia.
However, its ritual extends to spoon dishes such as Santa Pau beans, croquettes or baby squid with onions with which we will feed on his ode to traditional Basque food and natural Catalan wines. All this in the middle of a bar with charm that evokes those of all the life, but with that contemporary twist that has attracted to its bar and its tables to the new generations of tourists and residents of the city.
From this fashionable enclave we will move on to another, but already in night mode. We will go to La Terrrazza club to attend the party ‘Poly-rythmo Club ft Lauren Lo Sung‘, which will feature a line up that will combine in the same cocktail the groovy house of Lauren Lo Sung with the tupinamba sounds of Hanakito, the Japanese DJ who will debut for the occasion in her booth. Get your pass here.
SATURDAY 24
On Saturday we will eat at Achaar Bar, the new Indian canteen of the Alam brothers, which fuses Indian cuisine with an exquisite proposal of natural and organic wines served by the ocean. There we will share with friends a sequence of special dishes such as their shikh kabab naan, a skewer of beef with bread, their pani puri of potato, chickpeas and pomegranates or their kima roll, consisting of a brioche stuffed with minced meat.
Emerging art will stimulate us on Saturday afternoon in the framework of ART NOU. The festival presents a program that includes some exhibitions that highlight the value of young talent such as Ben Edmunds, installed in the gallery L21 Barcelona.
There, the Norwegian artist presents ‘THE FUTURE PERFECT‘ with a dozen new works that continue his exploration of color and different materials from adventure sports such as windsurfing, sailing or mountaineering. On this occasion, the English artist works with colors in an innovative way, combining them with meticulousness and offering very attractive gradients. As can be seen in the exhibition, Edmunds questions the supposed anti-utilitarianism of painting, proposing the work of art as a form of equipment.
SUNDAY 25
On Sunday we will go up to the WET terrace of the Hotel Vela to enjoy the evening with views of the whole city. For this new party ‘Wet Deck‘, we can dance to house mixes and top hits from local and international DJS from seven in the evening. But not before enjoying its culinary offer, which includes elaborations such as tartar, ceviches and bowls made with seasonal products, along with its signature cocktails.
