From Tapas we compile the best plans with which to enjoy the weekend in Madrid, and relegate ourselves to hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, parties, events and museums. Take the agenda and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 22ND

On Friday night we will go to dinner at LI-ONNA, the new Japanese with a Latin essence that has just arrived in the capital with an elevated architectural work -which fuses elements of Asian and Mexican culture- and a sophisticated gastronomic proposal.

The restaurant’s executive chef, Víctor Crendez, presents a varied menu in which the product acquires relevance through delicious dishes such as beef tataki with brussels sprouts and truffle ali oli, rib-eye rolls with balsamic teriyaki or gochogaru salmon. Of course, the sushi is encumbrated through creations such as the Atomic Roll of salmon, prawn and spicy crab, or the Li-Onna Roll of eel, salmon, prawn, avocado with chili árbol aioli cream, sweet and sour sauce and cilantro.

The experience will be elevated with a ‘Chunky Monkey’ of dulce de leche, flamed banana and banana ice cream with pieces of walnut and chocolate, as well as a bitter chocolate terrine with flamed vanilla ice cream, olive oil and Maldon salt. Where? At number 1 Calle de Recoletos.

After dinner, Étienne de Crécy will be back in the booth of Goya Social Club to make us dance until the sun comes up with his deep house beats.

The Parisian DJ and producer is known for having released albums such as Tempovision, from 2000, inspired by disco house, and two more volumes of the Super Discount series, one in 2004 and another in 2015. Also for having remixed artists such as Air, Chromeo and Kraftwerk. Buy your pass here.

SATURDAY 23

JEKES will be our escape from Saturday’s hangover with their ‘but good’ kebabs made with 100% natural ingredients, real meat and fresh vegetables.

From durums to beef or chicken kebabs -marinated for 24 hours- with yogurt or tomato-semipicante sauces, to chicken bowls, falafels, beef or chicken. All this and much more can be eaten in this place that has managed to reinvent the mythical Turkish dish within the updated gourmet kebab scene.

We will continue to experience new sensations during the weekend with the party of Villa Pantani ft. DJ Eivissa at Club Malasaña. Based on an electronic utopia, we will be able to live ‘a night in which hedonism and cult of euphoria’, which will be the epicenter on which Marcelo Pantani and his illustrious guests will make the dance floor spin until dawn. ‘Can it last forever? For one night, yes’.

Marcelo Pantani is part of the new clubber scene in Barcelona, who has transcended the industry thanks to the creativity he applies in his sets, fusing disparate styles in a groundbreaking way through sounds ranging from italo-house to trance, passing through disco or house.

SUNDAY 24

On Sunday we will continue exploring the culinary novelties of Madrid at Amets, the new Basque signature cuisine restaurant that landed on November 14 in Conde Duque.

Directed by chef Diego Sánchez, who debuts with his first restaurant after a long career in kitchens around the world, this ‘gastroteka’ stands out for its pintxos and dishes created under a modern and innovative perspective.

The seasonal menu, which will evolve according to seasonal produce, brings to life dishes such as caramelized pumpkin crème brûlée with sour cream and sunflower seeds, spinach sponge with miso cream and nori seaweed or artichokes with smoked Idiazabal. The menu also includes fish and seafood such as bonito tataki with marmitako, causa limeña and sautéed Thai vegetables; or tom yum of prawns and Tolosa beans with citric caviar. Where? At Calle del limón, 15, 28015.
