This week we change our classic Tapas Weekend for a good cause. And that is to mobilize around Valencia with a special agenda in which we will compile some of the solidarity actions to help the communities affected by the DANA, either through music, gastronomy or art.
SOM València
Today, November 14, Barcelona will become the epicenter of a series of solidarity concerts in support of the populations affected by the DANA. Key figures in the national music scene as Leïti, Adala, Maig, La Ninyas del Corro or Rule, among many others, will take the stage of this musical tribute that will resonate from the Sala Clap.
The proceeds from all concerts programmed by SOM VALÈNCIA will go entirely to this cause through a network of local organizations. The Horta Sud Foundation, with more than 50 years of experience, will guarantee the equitable distribution of the funds.
Tickets are now available through DICE for 15€.
Arte con Valencia
The exhibition ‘ART WITH VALENCIA’, which will be on display from November 29 to December 1 at the Sala de Columnas del Círculo de Bellas Artes, will feature a collection of pieces donated by artists who will participate in the charity auction that will take place afterwards.
In the meantime, on December 2, the charity auction will be activated at Subastas Alcalá, Madrid. The auction will be physical but it will also be possible to bid by phone and through their online channel. 100% of the funds raised will go to the Red Cross and Fundació Horta Sud, for the benefit of all the people affected by the DANA.
Antídoto x Valencia
The Madrid club of reference for the new generations will celebrate this Friday in the Art Club Room a charity party in support of the victims of the DANA in Valencia. The line up will be formed by resident DJs Yosef, Diego Armando and MAXVLLL, who will play in the main room, while in the second room Lara Taylor and Don Amor will take the stage.
‘It will be an evening filled with great music and a chance to contribute to a great cause. Join us to celebrate and make a difference together.’ Where? At Paseo De La Florida 2, 28008 Madrid.
Solidarity reading
Another of the solidarity actions that we can carry out is to help bookstores affected by the DANA, the catastrophe that has triggered a dystopian scenario in some Valencian territories, leading to the culture to slow down and flood. In this sense, we leave below the list of affected bookstores -which would compile online ‘Girls from Today’- in which to carry out this powerful action around reading.

AUCTION FOR ACTION.art
This solidarity action led by Valencian artist Felipe Pantone, whose studio was damaged during the DANA, presents a unique auction that will include an extensive collection of contemporary artworks donated by renowned international artists such as Ana Barriga, Okuda, Demsky, Jaime Hayon, PichiAvo, Sopopopomo, Felipe Pantone, and many more to be confirmed. Creatives from all over the world will be joining the collective in order to raise funds to help the victims and contribute to the reconstruction of Valencia.
The funds raised will be distributed to trusted local foundations. Among them, the Coloring the World Foundation, which will ensure that donations reach the areas most in need.
