If you’ve ever incorporated the brunch ritual into your lifestyle, you’ll have had the dilemma of whether to order sweet or savoury dishes. Rebecca, who operates under the nickname @phdinclothes, might have the solution.
In the video, she appears seated at a brunch table opposite a person who has opted for a savoury option; while in the centre of the table with a single pancake topped with butter and syrup to share.
‘This is the brunch trick, guys,’ he captions the video, which later shows someone reaching out to sink their teeth into the sweet dish.
Since its post earlier this month, the video has gone viral, with more than 2 million views and almost 1,000 comments. In the comments section, people have chimed in to join the conversation, adding that they too follow this brunch trick. ‘I always order a side of pancakes and share them with the whole table and no one realises I’m actually ordering table pancakes because I know everyone wants them but I don’t say so 😅’, writes another user.
Meanwhile, others offer alternative options on how to resolve the sweet versus savoury debate: ‘another alternative is that there is one person who wants the same savoury dish and the same sweet and you split it 50/50’.
