The most coveted sneaker of 2023 continues to reinterpret itself this year under new artistic visions and identities. Hegel, the renowned Amsterdam-based concept studio, now takes the reins of that creative direction to co-design with adidas four Samba models that evoke the aesthetic of delicate hand-embroidered napkins.
Studio Hagel is known for his creations that push the boundaries of design, as evidenced by his previous work with major footwear companies and even his own, launched in 2022.
This collaboration with adidas represents a fresh and imaginative take on the Samba silhouette, now serving up four colourways that fuse baroque and avant-garde influences, covered in floral-decorated fabrics and a piping that outlines the edges of the scarf.
The collaboration has generated international expectation among sneaker lovers, but for the moment it is only a prototype and it is not clear if it will be launched on the market.
