The first Starbucks located in a sports stadium in the Iberian Peninsula will soon arrive at the Santiago Bernabéu. A strategic move with which it will expand the stadium’s gastronomic team to which other players such as the Plaza Mahou microbrewery or the Arzábal Bernabéu restaurant belong. In addition, the Bernabéu will also open a gastronomic market called ‘Bernabéu Market’, which will be set up as a cultural space based around food, where there will be bars, restaurants, cocktail and ice cream parlours, but also shops specialising in gastronomic products.

The Starbucks flagship will extend over no less than 900 square metres, and will feature a series of exclusive products and experiences led by baristas that will only be available in this establishment.

‘Starbucks Bernabéu will be the largest shop in the country and will act as a showcase for the brand identity: an iconic representation of the Starbucks experience in Spain; with a unique design and product offering that will not be found in any other shop,’ explained Starbucks Iberia general manager Antonio Romero.

As a novelty, and following the current trends within the liquid sector, the coffee shop will have a space dedicated to mixology: mixing coffee with different drinks to serve the Starbucks community different stimulating combinations. It will also have merchandising created ad hoc, such as its iconic reusable cups and glasses, thermoses and bottles and/or a complete range of accessories related to coffee and its preparation.
