Stanley Tucci‘s ‘dolce vita’ includes this classic potato omelette, usually filled with vegetables. In the midst of an idyllic natural setting, the American actor decides to prepare a delicious brunch for his friends, and shares the recipe for his ‘frittata’ in a video on the internet. Take note.
‘We’re in Umbria on a little family holiday with some dear friends,’ Tucci shares on Instagram Reel. ‘So I made this lunch – we’re doing lunches at home and kind of going out to dinner for the most part.’ The lunch in question features two different types of frittatas.
I found these Tropea onions in the supermarket, and this frittata has Tropea onions, Parmigiano and potato,’ explains the actor, showing the egg dish. The other frittata he made omits the onions. Tropea onions, native to Italy, are sweeter than regular yellow or red onions and bring a balance of flavour to savoury dishes. Tucci’s version of the frittata with eggs seems to be full of herbs such as chives.
But the feast doesn’t end there. On Tucci’s table there is also a platter of sheep ricotta, a caprese salad, a mixed salad with lemon, garlic and olive oil dressing, anchovies, carta di musica and, of course, a bottle of wine. ‘All these products are very good, and we have a black truffle somewhere, which is going to be shaved on top of these two [frittatas].’
