Special K has just marked a unique milestone by partnering with Molly Baz, an American cook and cookbook author who recently starred in a controversial breastfeeding biscuit advert.

The Kellogg’s brand has teamed up with Molly to create the first cereal box to feature a pregnant woman, according to Special K’s notes. The edition, which features Baz’s bare belly, is part of the company’s ‘Special for a Reason’ marketing campaign, which focuses on sharing the stories of a number of inspirational people. In addition to the partnership, Special K will also donate $25,000 to United Way, a non-profit organisation that works to build stronger and more equitable communities.

This special project thus feeds into the background of empowering mothers-to-be across the country, and it does so in the hands of this talented chef who stated that the cereal helped her get through pregnancy in a very real way. ‘As a die-hard Special K girl, and a long-time customer, I’m honoured to be given the opportunity to design my own Special K box alongside my husband. I am thrilled to use this moment as a poster and platform on which to celebrate the mind-blowing miracle of pregnancy and motherhood that surrounds us all and is nothing short of a dream come true.’

The Special K x Molly Baz limited edition box is now available on the Kellogg’s website.
