The gastronomic scene in Ibiza continues to grow through countless exciting openings that make it a gastronomic paradise of haute cuisine. An era in full effervescence in which now enters the controversial chef Nusret Gökçe, better known as Salt Bae, with an opening that will revolutionize the culinary scene of the island.
The mega-project will consist of the construction of a complex located on Passeig Joan Carles I in Vila, in which Salt Bae, beyond installing his steakhouse restaurant, as he had already announced in 2021, will install a housing development.
‘In the heart of Ibiza I am doing the most important project of my life residences and restaurants [sic]. I love you Ibiza, I love you, Spain’, expresses the chef on Instagram, accompanied by a video recorded on the plot where his new Ibizan business will be located.
This space will serve as the base for one of the most renowned steakhouses in the world, directed by this media chef specialized in the art of meat and grilling, whose chain of luxury restaurants Nusr-Et has establishments in Mykonos, Doha, Miami and Marmaris.
However, leaving aside his specialty and all the memes he has starred in, if there is something for which this chef has stood out is for his peculiar way of throwing salt on food, and ‘massaging the meats’, both before and after cooking or serving them in front of his diners. A representative show with which he intensifies the gastronomic experience, which is already part of his attraction that has eclipsed -and served- personalities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, David Beckham, Roger Federer or Gerard Piqué.
